Point to Point Solutions
Bridging The Wireless IP Chasm
Delivering high-speed data from Point A
to Point B has never been easier. With the Motorola Point-to-Point
(PTP) wireless Ethernet bridges, enterprises, carriers,
ISPs and municipalities can easily connect expansive IP
networks to form a cohesive system. Delivering an outstanding
ROI and superior performance, the point-to-point solutions
possess exceptional interference mitigation techniques,
multiple layers of security and can transmit across long
distances, over water or around obstacles.
With a small form factor that’s easy to install and
maintain, the Motorola point-to-point bridges can support
a wide variety of demanding applications, including:
- Handling last-mile and heavy-duty backhaul traffic
- Connecting networks in a campus setting and communication
between buildings
- Deploying emergency services
- Supporting special operations and events
Boasting ease of use, fast deployment and remote management,
the portfolio is available in the PTP 100 Series, PTP 400
Series & PTP 600 Series to meet a variety of connectivity
challenges.
PTP 100 Series
(Formerly Canopy 10 & 20 Mbps Backhaul) |
|
Makes use of Motorola’s proprietary
modulation scheme to deliver high-speed bandwidth across
distances of up to 35 miles (56 kilometers). These solutions
support both DES and AES for enhanced security and are
uniquely suited for delivering consistent throughput
in Line-of-Sight (LoS) configurations. The PTP 100 Series
is available in a broad range of frequencies (2.4, 5.1,
5.2, 5.4 and 5.8 GHz). |

PTP 400 & 600 Series
(Formerly the Canopy 30, 60, 150 & 300 Mbps Backhaul) |
|
These solutions enable users to achieve
greater throughput and reach longer distances in LoS
environments as well as establish reliable links in
challenging near-LoS and Non-LoS conditions. Spanning
distances of up to 124 miles (200 kilometers), Motorola’s
PTP 400 and 600 Series wireless Ethernet bridges can
deliver 99.999% availability in even the most challenging
environments and feature:
- Dynamic frequency selection, which automatically
changes channels to avoid interference and combat
link fading without user intervention.
- Adaptive modulation to ensure maximum throughput
optimized for the radio path even as path characteristics
change.
- Built-in security protection via a complex proprietary
signal with scrambling applied
- Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) coding to
reduce fade margin regardless of obstacles in the
path.
